For aspiring lead climbers, an introduction to sport lead climbing.
For new leaders, a chance to consolidate your lead climbing skills.

Other skills if we have time.

We’ll probably have a BBQ afterwards.

    Sunday 2nd April, 7:30 am – 12:30 pm

Kangaroo Point cliffs, at the end of Lower River Terrace.

New leaders looking to improve their skills, and aspiring leaders keen to get into sport lead climbing. For aspiring leaders, we recommend being able to confidently climb grade 16 at least.

Places for aspiring leaders will be very limited, preference will go to people who regularly help with setup/pack-up etc.

We could also use some help from a few of the more experienced club members, if anyone is keen.

    Ideally you would have

    • Harness
    • Helmet
    • Shoes
    • Something to use as a safety (e.g. sling + locking carabiner)
    • Extra locking carabiner for cleaning
    • A short prusik loop for rappelling
    • Chalkbag

Expression of Interest (We may not be able to accommodate everyone who wants to learn due to needing experienced leaders to supervise)
