    *** CANCELLED ***

We’re going to Nowra for midsem!

This is an intermediate trip for lead climbers. Green level will be required so you can at least second after a leader.

    Where:

Climbing in the Nowra area. Info here

Planning to camp at the Shoalhaven Ski Park, 70 Rock Hill Rd, North Nowra NSW 2541.

The cost at the park will be $15/person/night. The park has bathroom facilities although I think it costs $1-2 for a shower.

We’ll organise group booking payment once we lock down who’s going in the sign up sheet. Costs will also include splitting fuel.

    When:

    25th Sep – 1 Oct

The plan is to leave early on the 25th Sep and roadtrip down.

Climb for the next five days.

Then leave early on the 1st Oct for the roadtrip home.

    What:

“The best sport climbing in the state. Sometimes ugly, but great climbing, with a huge variety of styles.”

    who:

All members with Green level or above are welcome. We will not be setting up top ropes so you must at least know how to second after a lead climber.

    What to bring:

    CAMPING:
    Drinking water
    Food
    Fuel stove for cooking
    Firewood
Rubbish bags (bins are not provided)
    Insect repellent and sunscreen
    Headtorch/lighting
We will be camping around the fire, so bring along firewood and marshmallows!!
Tents are a good idea, as are sleeping bags and mats. (The club has some you can borrow)
    Chair!
    Cold & wet-weather gear
    Hat, camera and fuel money.

    CLIMBING:
    Climbing gear:
Minimum: Harness, shoes, chalk, helmet (you can borrow club gear)
Good: Minimum + 2 locking carabiners, one ATC/Reverso, a ‘safety’, prussik, 1st Aid Kit
Great: Good + rope & draws (i.e: full lead kit)

Please sign up below and remember to organise your own transport.
